Just saying....

I’m about to say something that I don’t think you will hear from many other beauty industry professionals.

Ok, here goes.

We all have more important things to do than worrying about what we look like.
Ok, I said it and I believe it 100%.

So, what does that mean?
It means that our looks are not who we are and we should spend the majority of our time on other things.

But does that mean we can just ignore ourselves and just never look in the mirror? Um…not exactly. Even though we are much more than our looks, we almost all agree that we need to take care of ourselves, body and mind. And so if done right and within reason, skin care services, cosmetics, and beauty products can play a role in our fabulous lives.

One of the things I do for a living is I custom blend color cosmetics, making personalized colors for each of my clients so that each woman can wear the perfect colors to highlight her own natural beauty. I love watching my clients transform. They light up when they feel beautiful and that gives me a thrill.

I often have women come to see me that are embarrassed because they don’t wear make-up and don’t know the first thing about it. Why should they be embarrassed? Nobody HAS to wear make-up. It should be something we do if we want to when we want to. For those women, If they want to have some options in their beauty toolbox, I can blend a very sheer lipgloss with only a hint of color and/or a mineral foundation that they can use sparingly to lightly brush on and even out their skin while also providing full sun protection.

Beauty really doesn’t have to be hard and it should be fun. It is just a tool to help give us the confidence we need to go out into the world, give and receive love, and do what we are passionate about.

So, I guess all my ranting is coming down to one thing. I believe a beauty routine should fit into the life you have. If you only have 5 minutes in the morning to get ready, then you need a good 5-minute routine. It is possible and I can help you do it.
