Do you find that lipstick always seems to turn purple when you put it on. Or does a seemingly neutral red turn orange when you put it on your lips?
If so, it isn't your imagination. It is just a sign that the color you are choosing is not flattering for your skin tone.
Every person looks better in either a warm pallet or cool pallet. If you are cool, you look best in colors that have more of a blue undertone. If you are warm, you look best in colors that have a golden undertone.
And knowing what you are, cool or warm, can save you a lot of time when searching for clothes or make-up. It's your choice. You can wear any color you want, but I suggest wearing colors that compliment your natural beauty instead of draining you or taking over.
I love showing clients that they can wear red or brown or pink or whatever color they feel they can't pull off, as long as it is the right pink or red or brown, etc. For example, if you are warm and you want to wear pink lipstick, try a slightly peach or coral color instead. Beleive it or not, if you are warm, that peach color will appear pink on you.
Color is energy and I love experimenting with it to make my clients look their best! Contact me if you want to find out more.
