It's dry weather here in LA and a lot of my clients and their children are experiencing dry and irritated skin. Even my little girl (who is 5) started to have dry rough patches around her mouth and nose. During this dry time, it is important to not over-wash your skin. Use gentle cleansers (Like Hale & Hush's Quiet Wash) and keep water tepid not hot. If you don't have to shower daily, don't. Water strips the skin of its natural oils and barrier protection.
Don't allow your kids lick their lips when their lips are dry and chapped. Kids think that licking their lips will soothe the dry skin but it will only aggravate the issue. Use lip balms that do not contain petrolatum. I love the Hale & Hush Brilliant Lip and Eye Serum, but there are many options out there. Even using Organic Coconut Oil on the lips can help.
Nightly I apply Hale & Hush's Hush Hydrate to my daughter's dry skin and then a layer of Saffron Meristem Cream, and in the morning the area is significantly improved.
Just a reminder that I am donating 100% of the profits from my online store this this whole month of March to my sister-in-law, Rori Albert's Medical Fund. She is battling Lyme disease and needs money for treatments that insurance won't cover. She is a mother of 2 and used to be a school teacher. Her illness has caused her to lose the ability to walk unassisted and to speak clearly so she was forced to resign her teaching position. You can read all about her by visiting her GoFundMe Page at: https://www.gofundme.com/2tyb2nfu
If you want to help, and you need skincare, make sure to buy this month. It's a win win for everybody. :)
Thanks again!
